The Future- Where to from here?

The Future
With racial hatred on the rise throughout the world.... with far-right-wing political parties growing today at a rate faster than of any time since the Second World War...with the expansion in support by local communities for acts of international terrorism...there has never been a time when the teaching of tolerance for others has been more needed.
Courage to Care is a unique anti-racism programme developed to meet today’s needs. As an outreach program, it is direct, effective, and exemplary. Since its inception Courage to Care has been seen by over 155,000 Australians including 55,500 schoolchildren who have been bussed in at our expense.

Our philosophy, our ethos, and especially our many volunteers are all dedicated to showing visitors the difference that the individual can make in a society which has become intolerant of others…of those who practise a different religion, a different lifestyle preference, are of a different race or cultural background, or who profess different values.

The principal benefit is seen as increasing community awareness of the importance of living in harmony with others, and the need to stand up against discrimination and prejudice, particularly in relation to minority groups. The exhibition is a testament to those who would not stay silent in the face of racial prejudice and intolerance, issues, which remain with us in the society of today

Where to from here?
Courage to Care continues to grow because of our dedication to total professionalism, and our commitment to making Australians understand the historical and future dangers of failing to take a stand against intolerance and evil.

Our exhibitions are booked out until the end 2008…we have six new exhibitions planned to be held, next year and beyond –
